Jason Cain is an assistant professor of integrated marketing communications. Cain joined the School after working in corporate consulting in Austin, Texas. Originally a musician, he worked in Nashville and Austin in live music and studio settings for 15 years. His research interests include digital media-related issues from news gathering, to intellectual property.
Cain has a Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of Florida, where he studied as an Alumni Graduate Fellow, a master’s degree in mass communication from Texas State University – San Marcos in mass communication, and a bachelor’s of science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in recording industry management.
